System renderings
As a spinoff of a DARPA program, Distant Focus worked for another company on the optomechanics for a prototype Head Mounted Display (HMD). DFC used laser-scanned 3D face models, along with additional anthropometric data, to position the optics and mechanics such that they fit on the head and were properly registered to the eye. As a part of the project, we also fabricated and assembled the initial prototype systems and performed some initial optical testing.
