Distant Focus is capable of pulling together a vast array of electrical engineering resources for your project. We do a majority of the design work in-house but have built lasting relationships in the industry to pull in expertise in specialized areas when needed.

Examples of systems we have engineered can be found in our projects area. These projects tend to be camera-related and involve creating the drive electronics for a particular sensor along with the data routing and computer interface for the camera. Recent designs have involved multi-sensor cameras where the data routing has gone from megabytes to hundreds of gigabytes per second. This has required the use of state of the art FPGAs and high speed serial interfaces to connect multiple routing FPGAs together.
Other projects included closed-loop focus controllers, LCD shutter drivers, custom ring illuminators, and laser scanning galvo drivers, to name a few.
