Rick L. Morrison

Dr. Morrison is one of the founders of Distant Focus Corporation. Dr. Morrison is a former adjunct Associate Professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Previous to this, Dr. Morrison was a research scientist at Bell Laboratories in Naperville, Illinois. Dr. Morrison received his Ph.D. in Physics from Yale University in 1985. Dr. Morrison has devoted over a decade to support Bell Laboratories' research and development of free-space photonic technology. He was a team member in Dr. David Brady's Illinois Interferometric Imaging Initiative from 1998 through 2001. Dr. Morrison has developed considerable expertise in computer automation, diffractive optic simulation and design, tomographic modeling, 3-D visualization, and distributed sensor array applications.
